Job summary

Guelph Kia, part of AutoCanada, seeks a Service Department Detailer to clean and detail vehicles to dealership standards for customer delivery. This role supports the service team by maintaining a clean workspace and following safety protocols while delivering high-quality service.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license with a clean record, and the ability to drive both automatic and manual transmissions. Experience with cleaning products and tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Interest in automotive industry and vehicle knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience with cleaning products and tools (power washers is a plus).
• Detail-oriented, dependable and able to prioritize tasks.
• Capable of meeting physical demands (lifting, standing, tool use).
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Detail interior and exterior of customer vehicles.
• Vacuum, deodorize, wash vehicles; wipe dash, clean floors and mats.
• Apply paint sealant and polish wheels/rims.
• Use hand-held tools for detailed work.
• Inform supervisor of parts needing repair or replacement.
• Complete quality control checklist.
• Perform other repair duties as required.

Your area of focus.

The Service Department Detailer is responsible for cleaning and detailing vehicles to dealership standards, ensuring both the interior and exterior are in excellent condition for customer delivery. This role supports the service team by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and following safety protocols while providing high-quality service.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Responsible for the detailing of interior and exterior of customer vehicles
• Perform general car detailing activities, including, vacuuming, deodorizing, and washing
• Ensure the exterior of cars are clean and smudge free
• Detailing interiors, wiping dash, vacuuming, and washing floor mats
• Apply paint sealant
• Clean and polish wheels and rims
• Use a variety of hand-held tools to detail the interior and exterior of cars
• Notify supervisor or appropriate technician when you notice parts of car that require repair or replacement
• Complete quality control checklist
• Perform other repair duties as required

What are the must-haves…

• You must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Compensation

The expected range of compensation for this position is $24 – $25 Hourly — Flat Rate. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, education, skills and experience.
