Job summary

Guelph Hyundai in Guelph, Ontario is seeking a Detailer to expertly clean and prepare vehicles for customer delivery. You will support the service team by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and following safety protocols to ensure high-quality service.

The role focuses on thorough interior and exterior detailing, use of cleaning tools, and adherence to dealership standards. This is a full-time onsite opportunity with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Interest in automotive industry and knowledge of vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience with cleaning products and cleaning tools; power washers are a plus.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize.
• Able to meet physical demands (heavy lifting, standing).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Detailing of interior and exterior of customer vehicles.
• Perform general detailing activities including vacuuming, deodorizing, washing.
• Ensure exterior of cars is clean and smudge-free.
• Detailing interiors, wiping dash, vacuuming, washing floor mats.
• Apply paint sealant.
• Clean and polish wheels and rims.
• Use a variety of handheld tools to detail interior and exterior of cars.
• Notify supervisor or technician when repairs are needed.
• Complete quality control checklist.
• Perform other repair duties as required.

Your area of focus.

The Detailer is responsible for cleaning and detailing vehicles to dealership standards, ensuring both the interior and exterior are in excellent condition for customer delivery. This role supports the service team by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and following safety protocols while providing high-quality service.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Responsible for the detailing of interior and exterior of customer vehicles
• Perform general car detailing activities, including, vacuuming, deodorizing, and washing
• Ensure the exterior of cars are clean and smudge free
• Detailing interiors, wiping dash, vacuuming, and washing floor mats
• Apply paint sealant
• Clean and polish wheels and rims
• Use a variety of hand-held tools to detail the interior and exterior of cars
• Notify supervisor or appropriate technician when you notice parts of car that require repair or replacement
• Complete quality control checklist
• Perform other repair duties as required

What Are The Must-haves…

• High school diploma or GED
• Interest in automotive industry, and knowledgeable about vehicles
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools including power washers is an asset
• Must be dependable, reliable, possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively
• Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time and using power tools and hand-held equipment
• Excellent customer service skills
• You must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Compensation

The compensation for this position is $24.00 hourly.
