Job Description

The Fixed Cost Analyst (Contract) is responsible for the following:

  1. Performing financial analyses including forecasting and variance explanations.
  2. Contributing toward the development of annual business plans.
  3. Providing key support to Sales & Marketing operations teams.
  4. Professionally and productively liaising with various Canadian and US groups.
  5. Working on innovation and process improvements.
  6. Handling special projects, as appropriate, in support of corporate objectives.
  7. Developing presentations.
  8. Completing various month-end accounting duties including assisting with booking of journal entries, reporting on actuals, and completing various reporting under time constraints.
  9. Supporting Internal Controls, and all associated programs and activities.
  10. Cross-training with other positions within the Fixed Cost group (G&A, Non-Rev Company Car).

    Requirements

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum ONE (1) year of Finance or Accounting experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables under tight time constraints.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work productively as a member of cross-functional teams.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA and/or CPA designation preferred.
  • SAP accounting systems experience is considered an asset.
  • Some flexibility in work schedule to meet internal deadlines.
  • Willingness to eventually consider possible rotation into US-based positions.
