Job description
Overview

Position Description: Pay: $60 per 60-minute class (group or private), Contract.

About Us: Fresh Start is a health retreat specializing in emotional wellness, physical health, quitting smoking and holistic cleansing programs. Our guests come from all over North America for 5-21 days to work on their health or health maintenance. You will have an opportunity to contribute to a life and health-changing experience and to be part of an integrative holistic program that is the only program of this nature in Canada. You will work with all levels of fitness, from someone with limited mobility and modified chair classes to athletes who love high-intensity classes. Most of our guests have some mobility issues, yet there are some health-conscious high-fitness level guests too. Your challenge is to accommodate everyone and create a fun, non-competitive atmosphere.

Position Summary

Group Fitness Instruction twice weekly, plus private training for our retreat guests. We run eight 21-Day programs per year on specific dates. The opportunity is available during program dates only. This is not a regular full-time position.

Classes Schedule

Group Fitness Classes: Monday and Saturday 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. (one of the Mondays 12:00–1:00 p.m.). General workouts with light weights. We have basic equipment (weights, mats, bands, straps, yoga blocks).

Private Classes/Semi-Private Classes (2-4 guests): on demand — schedule to discuss suitable times for you and the program.

Note: Private Class bookings are subject to offering top-notch group classes and are a bonus. We can only guarantee the group classes. More skills you have, more value you bring, higher chances you\u2019ll get private training sessions. Guests expect to work with a highly qualified professional.

Location and Facilities

Classes are held in a large multipurpose room with a laminate floor. We have a small gym for private workouts. Programs are run out of the Ocean Resort facility, located on the ocean side, so the exercise room faces the ocean. Multipurpose (Fireplace) Room currently used for classes. See facilities photos on the site: www.healthretreat.ca/photo-tour/ (pics are a bit outdated).

  • Experience in both group and personal fitness training, indoors and outdoors

Personal Qualities
