Job summary

Delmanor is seeking a dedicated Wellness Coordinator to provide diversified LivingWell programs for Residents, addressing physical, emotional and social needs.

You will build strong relationships with Residents and families, plan calendars, and support events. Two years of experience with older adults and a CanFit Pro certificate are required; you should be able to teach exercise classes and lead a team.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience with older adults in hospitality or health care.
• Certification from a fitness organization such as CanFit Pro.
• Ability to teach exercise classes to older adults and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Provides diversified wellness programs to meet the needs of Residents.
• Maintains effective communication with Residents, families, Managers and team members.
• Plans and submits LivingWell programs, seminars, and speakers for the monthly calendar.
• Assists and supports other department managers and events as needed.

Job description

What you’ll do:

• Provides diversified wellness programs to help meet the physical, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs of Residents.
• Maintains effective communication and solid relationships with Residents, families, Managers and team members.
• Plans, organizes and submits LivingWell programs, seminars, speakers to the LivingWell Manager for inclusion in the monthly calendar.
• Assists and supports other department managers, as needed; e.g. Anniversary Parties, Marketing events.

What you bring

• Has a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with older adults in a hospitality or health care setting.
• Certificate from a fitness related organization such as CanFit Pro.
• Knowledgeable in teaching exercise classes to older adults.
• Demonstrates that they are self-directed, accountable, an effective problem-solver and team leader.

Hourly rate: $26.27

Weekly hours: Wednesday: 9am - 5pm
