Job description

The Fitness Class Instructor reports to the General Manager and is responsible for providing a best-in-class fitness class experience for members through engaging and high-quality classes. The role also involves achieving member retention and satisfaction, executing company policies, procedures, and programs, and exemplifying the company’s culture and values.

Responsibilities :

1. Arrive on time to welcome participants, answer questions, and start and end classes punctually.
2. Clean all equipment and shared touchpoints used before and after each class, and instruct participants to do the same.
3. Conduct fitness classes according to the designated format, ensuring participants' needs are met by modifying exercises as needed.
4. Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and equipment use, enforce safety policies, minimize injury risk, and perform first aid when required.
5. Address member concerns promptly following company policies and document incidents, reporting them immediately to the General Manager.
6. Immediately report cleanliness, health, safety concerns, and incidents to the General Manager.
7. Participate in internal fitness education programs to enhance knowledge, skills, and abilities.
8. Build strong relationships with other departments such as member service and personal training.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.
