Job summary

Hermitage Processing Inc., a division of Cooke Aquaculture Inc., is seeking a Fish Handling Labourer to join our processing team in Hermitage, Newfoundland and Labrador. This is a seasonal position paying $18.61 per hour.

Responsibilities include receiving, handling, sorting, weighing, and preparing fish products for storage, processing and shipment, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, loading/unloading trucks, and maintaining strict food safety and quality standards.

• Receive, handle, sort, grade, weigh, transfer, and prepare fish and seafood products for storage, processing, and shipment
• Move products between receiving, holding, processing, storage, and loading areas
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
• Load and unload trucks and transportation vehicles
• Ice, pack, palletize, and stage products for transport
• Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and product traceability
• Clean and sanitize tanks, equipment, work areas, coolers, and storage facilities
• Follow all food safety and product quality standards
