Delta Pacific Seafoods is seeking individuals with excellent knife skills to join the Filleting Department in Delta, British Columbia. The successful candidates will fillet a variety of fish to customer specifications, meet yield goals, and assist with packaging for wholesale and retail customers.

Experience in fish filleting or seafood preferred; training will be provided. The work is full-time, Monday to Friday, in a cold, noisy environment with potential overtime.

Competenze

• No formal education required.
• Previous filleting experience with seafood, meat, or poultry is a strong asset. Training will be provided.
• Must take direction and abide by safety rules.

Mansioni

• Fillet fish according to customer specs to meet yield goals.
• Ensure each product meets customer specifications.
• Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters as needed.
• Scrape scales, remove bones, trim fillets and scrap parts.
• Cut fish into steaks and fillets for weighing and packaging.
• Wrap and package prepared fish and prepare special orders.
