We are hiring immediately for a Fire Suppression Technician at our Sudbury operation.

What You'll Do
  • Verifying conditions of suppression system, including validation of installation compliance and component location
  • Test, replace and repair system components
  • Perform mechanical and electrical tests required to certify proper system operation
  • Assess equipment, environment and operating conditions
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, schematics and manuals
  • Evaluate plans, customer requests, codes and non-conformance issues to determine solutions and recommendations
  • Install systems according to manufacturer instructions
  • Validate system operation after installation
  • Prepare stock materials for daily work orders and optimize material utilization
  • Complete daily reports of completed work orders and activities
  • Ensure safe work practices are followed and demonstrate safety leadership
  • Mentor other team members including trainees and field service staff
  • Participate in 24/7 on‑call/call out emergency service

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2+ years of field experience across various industries; a diploma in a mechanical trade preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Fire service certifications and/or suppression training an asset
  • All combinations of education and experience will be considered
  • Candidates may be required to submit a current Certificate of Conduct and Driver’s abstract
