Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled Sprinkler Technician to service and repair sprinkler systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites in Canada. You will read blueprints, diagnose problems, and ensure compliance with codes.

A strong customer-service mindset and the ability to work on-call and travel overnight are required. The role demands a Journeyperson license, Backflow and ASTTBC credentials, and at least 4 years of industry experience.

Qualifications

• Sprinkler Journeyperson status required.
• ASTTBC certification in WA preferred.
• Backflow certification required.
• 4+ years in Fire Sprinkler/Suppression.
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals, manuals.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must lift 50-70 lbs and handle physical work.
• Capable of ladders, scaffolding, and high lift work.
• Willing to work weekends and on-call rotations.
• Overnight travel may be required.
• Customer service oriented and safety-minded.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls from the Center and document issues.
• Inspect, test, and maintain sprinkler systems at sites to code.
• Identify equipment problems with customers.
• Repair sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, residential settings.
• Follow troubleshooting guides and manuals to diagnose.
• Read blueprints and product manuals for installations.
• Maintain strong customer communications for satisfaction.
• Process Service Acknowledgements and obtain signatures.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
