Qualifications

• Experience in designing fire protection systems including alarms, sprinklers, standpipes, and clean agent systems.
• Ability to perform fire risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Familiarity with NFPA, NFC, IFC, OBC and related codes.
• Strong report writing and proposal preparation skills.
• Experience managing multiple design projects and teams.

Responsibilities

• Fire Protection System Design: develop/review alarms, sprinklers, standpipes, and clean agent systems.
• Fire Risk Assessment: identify hazards, assess impact, and propose mitigations.
• Code Compliance: interpret/apply fire codes to ensure building safety.
• Review plans with architects/engineers to address life-safety requirements.
• Inspections and testing: verify functionality and compliance of systems.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and drawings; maintain records.
