Job summary

Viking Fire Protection Inc. in Winnipeg seeks a fire protection drafting specialist to design automatic sprinkler systems and prepare drawings in line with current codes.

You will use AutoCAD, Revit, HydraCAD and HydraList to model, draft and coordinate with architectural, structural and mechanical plans. You will contribute to BIM coordination, participate in project meetings, verify drawings, order materials, and conduct field surveys for installation drawings.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Fire Protection Engineering Technology or Design, or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of fire protection drafting experience.
• Proficiency in computer-assisted design with AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of HydraCAD is an asset.
• Knowledge of standards and codes governing design and installation of automatic fire protection systems.

Responsibilities

• Design automatic fire sprinkler systems and prepare drawings per current codes.

Success Factors
