The University of Manitoba is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician/Electrician to verify fire alarm installations, maintain, modify, repair and test life-safety systems across university buildings.
Responsibilities include testing emergency lighting, assisting the sprinkler team, completing inspection reports, identifying deficiencies, and estimating costs for installations and repairs. Strong communication with staff, students and contractors is essential.
Work schedule: 38.75 hours/week; Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 4:15 pm
Salary: $39.23 per hour

Under general supervision, the Fire Alarm Technician/Electrician is responsible for, verifying fire alarm installations, maintaining, modifying, repairing, testing/inspecting fire alarm systems and components installed in buildings for Life Safety purposes. These include a variety of conventional and addressable systems developed by many different manufacturers.
