Levitt-Safety has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our Oakville team in Ontario.

Summary

As the successful candidate, you will be part of a dynamic team and perform verifications, certifications, maintenance / inspections, and repairs on fire alarm systems according to applicable fire codes.

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of fire alarm systems and equipment, including repairs and documenting deficiencies, following NFPA guidelines.
• Verify newly installed fire alarm systems, breaker panels associated with fire alarms, and complete verification reports and program addressable panels.
• Maintain records of all inspections, testing, repairs, system impairments, and related paperwork per Levitt ISO standards.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors as required and assist in project management working closely with the design team and project manager.
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls.
• Participate in health and safety initiatives, including developing JHAs and safe work practices relevant to the role.
• Represent Levitt-Safety professionally for our customers and onsite safety needs.

Ideal Qualifications

• Valid CFAA Registration.
• 3-5 years of industry experience in Fire Detection, Special Hazards, and Programming Addressable Panels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of NFPA, ULC, and Fire codes.
• Ability to pass pre-employment checks.
