Job summary

Neo Financial in Calgary, AB is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to join its in-house Legal team on a full-time basis. Reporting to Legal Counsel, you will support corporate governance, contract lifecycles, research, and external legal operations.

You’ll draft and review NDAs and service agreements, manage contract workflows, maintain minute books and filings, and assist with due diligence. Strong precision, ethics, and project management are essential in our fast-growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Paralegal diploma or degree from a Canadian post-secondary institution.
• 3–5+ years’ experience in an in-house corporate legal or law firm.
• Experience with CLM, entity management software, and redlining tools.
• Ability to conduct legal research and draft agreements under supervision.
• Strong judgment, analytics, discretion with sensitive corporate information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organization.

Responsibilities

• Review NDAs, MSAs, vendor and third-party contracts; redline as needed.
• Draft commercial agreements, templates, amendments, and routine letters.
• Manage contract execution workflows and secure archiving.
• Maintain corporate minute books, annual returns, and director updates.
• Assist with corporate structuring and due diligence requests.
• Conduct legal research across federal and provincial jurisdictions.
• Oversee external legal spend and e-billing with Finance.
• Develop SOPs and templates to improve department efficiency.
