Lightspeed Commerce, Inc. is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to own FinOps across cloud, vendor, and AI spend. You will define strategy, build automated dashboards, and collaborate with Finance, Procurement, and Engineering to scale cost optimization across the organization.

This senior IC role requires technical depth to shape automations and dashboards, plus strategic judgment to influence leadership on cost trade-offs and cross‑functional partnerships.

Qualifikationen

• Experience owning both the strategy and execution for a cloud, vendor or AI cost optimization program.
• Deep knowledge of the AI vendor landscape—pricing, contracts, and optimization levers.
• Technical depth in cloud architecture, cost management, and optimization techniques enabling you to build or evaluate dashboards and automation.
• Experience navigating areas with no established playbooks and building the framework as you go.
• Proven track record leading large, cross‑organizational programs spanning multiple business units.

Aufgaben

• Define the FinOps strategy for cloud, vendor, and AI cost across the organization, not just execute an existing roadmap.
• Continuously reassess what to optimize, and why, based on spend and risk concentration.
• Build the framework for managing AI cost where no playbook exists yet.
• Analyze cloud usage, vendor contracts, and AI spend to identify inefficiencies and develop cost-reduction strategies.
• Design and shape dashboards, automations, and monitoring systems with depth akin to a Senior Engineer.
• Propose concrete technical optimizations and partner with engineering as needed.
• Lead multiple cost-optimization initiatives concurrently and report cost attribution, monitoring, and savings to leadership.
• Collaborate with FP&A to define key cost metrics and provide a clear financial lens.
