Job summary

Lightspeed Commerce seeks a Principal Technical Program Manager to own and scale FinOps across cloud, vendor, and AI spend. You will define the strategy, build automations and dashboards, and partner with Finance, Procurement, and SRE to optimize cost and governance.

You will present actionable insights to leadership, drive high-impact cost-reduction initiatives, and mentor other TPMs while shaping the organization’s cloud economics.

Qualifications

• Experience owning both the strategy and execution for a cloud, vendor or AI cost optimization program.
• Deep knowledge of the AI vendor landscape, pricing models and optimization levers.
• Technical depth in cloud architecture, cost management and optimization techniques.
• Experience navigating an area with no established playbook and building the framework as you go.
• Track record of running large, cross-organizational programs spanning multiple business units.
• Strong executive communication skills to translate complex cost trade-offs for leadership.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change without formal authority.

Responsibilities

• Define the FinOps strategy for cloud, vendor and AI cost management across the organization.
• Drive cost optimization with technical depth, building dashboards and automation.
• Lead the program across multiple cost-optimization initiatives and report cost attribution and savings to leadership.
• Influence executive stakeholders and partner with FP&A to define key cost metrics.
• Mentor TPMs and collaborate with Delivery Ops leadership on career development.
