Lightspeed Commerce, Inc. in Montreal seeks a Principal Technical Program Manager to own FinOps strategy across cloud, vendor and AI spend. You’ll shape optimization frameworks, dashboards and automations with deep technical depth and strategic business insight.

You’ll partner with Finance, Procurement and other teams to define metrics, report spend and drive cross‑functional cost initiatives. This is a senior IC role with strong influence at the executive level.

Qualifikationen

• Experience owning both strategy and execution for cost optimization programs.
• Deep knowledge of AI vendor pricing, contracts and optimization levers.
• Technical depth in cloud architecture, cost management and automation.
• Ability to build a framework where no playbook exists and adapt as you go.
• Track record leading large, cross‑organizational programs.
• Strong executive communication translating tech and cost tradeoffs for leadership.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.

Aufgaben

• Define the FinOps strategy for cloud, vendor and AI cost management across the org.
• Continuously reassess what to optimize, and in what order, based on spend concentration.
• Build the AI cost framework where no established playbook exists.
• Analyze cloud usage, contracts and AI spend to identify inefficiencies and cuts.
• Design dashboards, automations and monitoring at depth equivalent to a senior engineer.
• Propose technical optimizations and assess when engineering partnership is needed.
• Apply hands‑on experience automating with AI, not just directing others.
• Oversee multiple cost optimization initiatives and report cost attribution clearly.
• Partner with FP&A to define key cost metrics for leadership view.
• Manage cross‑functional dependencies and change across SRE, Eng, Data, FP&A, Procurement.
• Present feasibility, timelines, risk and tradeoffs to executive stakeholders.
• Balance centralized standards with autonomy of business units.
• Proactively surface issues and advocate for change across products and teams.
• Mentor TPMs and contribute to the broader TPM function.
