Job summary

PaperWorks Industries is seeking a Finishing Operator to run Gluers and support finishing line operations in a compliant, safe environment.

You will perform setup, troubleshooting, and quality checks, while maintaining accurate paperwork and cleanliness in the finishing area. A colourblindness test is required, and you will work a continental shift (84 hours biweekly, 7-7).

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate Gluers according to work instructions and customer specifications.
• Able to perform troubleshooting and minor maintenance on Finishing equipment.
• Must pass a colourblindness test.
• Commitment to health and safety policies and general housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Operate Gluers according to work instructions and customer specifications
• Assist Adjusters and other Operators in make ready and operation of equipment
• Perform troubleshooting and minor maintenance on Finishing equipment regularly
• Monitor supply levels and order through the Finishing Manager as needed
• Responsible for knowing Finishing lockout procedures
• Complete quality checks to ensure only conforming product is being produced
• Complete necessary paperwork accurately in a timely manner
• Perform general housekeeping and other related duties as required
• The Finishing Operator must successfully pass a colourblindness test
• Must be able to work a Continental shift schedule (84 hours biweekly, rotates every 2 weeks between days and nights, 7-7)

The Finishing Operator is responsible for the operation of the equipment in the Finishing Department. The employee ensures conformance to all Health and Safety Policies, Rules and Regulations and general housekeeping standards. Meets or exceeds production, efficiency and quality requirements at all times. No artificial intelligance (AI) is used at any stage of our recruitment process.
