The Wickaninnish Inn on Vancouver Island is seeking a Bartender to join our Restaurant Team. Lead by example, you will uphold Forbes, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond standards and deliver a high-end guest experience.

Ideal candidates have prior experience in fast-paced bars or fine dining, be knowledgeable about cocktails, wine, beer and spirits, and hold a Serving It Right certification. We value teamwork and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced bar and fine dining or high-end restaurant setting.
• Thorough knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, cocktails, port, scotch and other spirits.
• Serving It Right Certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver efficient, personalized guest service meeting Forbes, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond Standards.
• Prepare a wide range of cocktails, wine, beer, spirits and other beverages and adhere to guest requests.
• Be responsible for the service of guests seated at the bar and for In-Room Dining orders.
• Know and use Silverware Point of Sale system.
• Develop new cocktail recipes within a creative program.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the Bar and assist with inventory control and ordering.
• Assist with Wine Cellar organization and The Pointe Restaurant as required.
• Balance end of day financial transactions.
