Job Overview: The Financial Systems Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing our internal IT systems from the ground up. This includes systems for accounting, invoicing, inventory management, CRM, and more. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work with external vendors and senior leadership to deliver scalable solutions that enhance our operational efficiency and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and store managers to analyze current business and operational processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Define the new business technology system's requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational needs, and leverage the business technology system to enhance workflow and efficiency.
- Collaborate with management to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Lead communications with vendors, the development team, and engage managers and key users across the company to understand and effectively address their specific needs with the business technology system.
- Manage the business technology system project from start to finish, including management, maintenance, and continuous upgrading of the system to ensure it remains effective, efficient, and aligned with evolving business needs.
- Oversee the integration of various systems and business modules, ensuring seamless connectivity and smooth operation.
- Provide expert advice on business technology system policies, strategies, and management practices to enhance service delivery, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as the main point of contact between our company and IT business technology system vendors for ongoing support, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct meticulous testing regularly to ensure the system's reliability, accuracy, and readiness for implementation, addressing any issues to guarantee a flawless integration.
The qualified candidate must have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in:
- Business systems, with a focus on system analysis, design, and implementation to drive continuous optimization and improve operational efficiency.
- IT project management, with a strong track record in overseeing projects and ensuring their successful delivery.
- At least 2 years of experience in IT projects related to accounting, invoicing, inventory management, and CRM systems.
- Experience working with small businesses or startups is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of integrating various business systems and modules to support seamless operations and enhance business processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships across various levels and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on improving system performance and efficiency.
- Experience in leading and managing projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior management to advise on and implement technology strategies that align with business objectives.
We Offer:
- Competitive wage: $48–$52 per hour.
- Overtime pay at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate.
- 10 Vacation days.
