Job summary

PCL Constructors Inc. is seeking a Financial Systems Analyst Student for its North American Headquarters in Edmonton, Alberta.

This 4 or 8 month internship, starting January 2027, offers hands-on work with Power BI dashboards, data analysis, and system documentation under supervision. You will support incidents, develop documentation, and assist with requirements, testing, and training materials while engaging with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Basic SQL understanding and data analysis aptitude.
• Interest in construction industry and support processes.
• Experience with training materials and technical documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests, troubleshoot incidents, and investigate problems.
• Create or update process, training, and system documentation.
• Deliver web-based end-user training.
• Document requirements for new systems.
• Create or update use cases supporting analysis and testing.
• Participate in pilots and rollouts.
• Develop and deliver stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate SMEs for requirements refinement and UAT.
• Assist with system configuration and testing.

We are seeking a Financial Systems Analyst Student for our North American Headquarters (NAHQ) in Edmonton, Alberta, that is available for 4 or 8 months starting in January 2027. This position will be under the direct supervisor of the Business Systems Support Manager.

As a Financial Systems Analyst Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

• Responds to related service requests, troubleshoot incidents, and investigate problems.
• Assists with, create or update process, training and system documentation.
• Assists with/deliver web-based training to end users.
• Assists with documentation of requirements for new system.
• Assists with, create or update use cases that support requirements analysis, functional designs, user acceptance testing, and training material.
• Participates in pilots and rollouts.
• Develops and deliver stakeholder communications.
• Assists with the coordination of subject matter experts for requirements refinement and user acceptance testing.
• Assists with/perform system configuration and testing.
• Liaises with business, technology, and support teams to ensure systems meet business requirements.
• Assists with new and ongoing department initiatives.
• Assists with/perform analysis of system and data usage.
• Configures navigation, dashboards, analytics, and reports in solutions such as Power BI.
