Job summary

RBC is seeking a Manager, Financial & Regulatory Reporting in Toronto to lead the preparation and reconciliation of financial disclosures and regulatory returns. You will drive process improvements, support month-end and year-end close activities, and coordinate audits, while leveraging advanced Excel skills to analyze large datasets and ensure data integrity.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in financial accounting or financial reporting.
• Outstanding communication skills with ability to explain complex accounting concepts clearly.
• Expert-level Excel proficiency for data analysis and modeling.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to identify inconsistencies in financial data.
• Ability to independently develop solutions and apply business insights in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, prepare, and reconcile financial statement disclosures and regulatory returns.
• Prepare and review journal entries, balance proofs, and reconciliations for monthly/quarterly closes.
• Consolidate financial information and perform complex data analysis on large datasets.
• Analyze reports for completeness and data quality, ensuring consistency.
• Maintain process documentation and guidance for disclosures and regulatory returns.
• Investigate queries and resolve issues with internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify, propose, and test reporting solutions for new initiatives.
• Coordinate audits for legal entities and regulatory matters.
