Job summary

Ontario Public Service in North Bay and Sudbury is seeking a Financial Operations Representative for temporary assignments up to 12 months. You will process payments, invoices, refunds, and support cross-ministry financial operations while delivering customer service to external suppliers and OPS clients.

The role emphasizes accuracy, problem-solving, and collaboration with ministries. Salary is $28.14–$32.82 per hour under the OPSEU collective agreement, with eligibility for bilingual positions

Qualifications

• Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures.
• Ability to process financial transactions per corporate policies and recommend improvements.
• Experience using computerized financial systems and Excel to reformat/analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Complete financial processing reviews and reconcile financial reports.
• Process and prepare documentation for a variety of financial transactions.
• Review transactions for accuracy and compliance with accounting practices.
• Track and monitor transactions to resolve processing issues.
• Provide on-going program business improvement support to management and clients.
• Provide customer service to the public through phone and email correspondence.
