Overview

As a Financial Crime Associate at PwC, you will focus on providing comprehensive security solutions across various domains, maintaining the protection of client systems and data. You will apply a broad understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices to address diverse security challenges effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Providing support on client assignments.
  • Consulting with clients to identify, clarify, and resolve complex issues critical to their strategic and operating success by developing insight, conducting independent analysis, and meeting with clients to assure assignment progress.
  • Developing conclusions and recommendations, writing reports, assisting in client presentations, and providing implementation assistance as required.
  • Proactively assisting in the management of several clients, while reporting to Leadership.
  • Establishing effective working relationships directly with clients.
  • Contributing to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen.
  • Keeping up to date with local and national business and economic issues.
  • Being actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients.
  • Continuing to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand.
Experiences and skills
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar quantitative field.
  • Familiarity with AML regulation in Canada (FINTRAC) and its applicability to AML/ATF risk and models.
  • Experience presenting technical information to non-technical Senior Management/Executive stakeholders.
  • Significant experience preparing PowerPoint presentations for business development and project proposals.
  • Ability to recognize data patterns, quantify potential issues, and identify solutions.
  • Experience with reporting/dashboarding tools for AML performance and operational monitoring.
  • Knowledge of machine learning (e.g., cluster analysis), AI development and advanced sampling methods.
  • Experience building logistic regression models and performing sensitivity testing (e.g., customer risk rating models).
  • Experience conducting sensitivity testing on watchlist/sanctions monitoring applications (i.e., name and payment screening).
