Job summary

AMZ Prep is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to own financial reporting, accounting operations, tax compliance, treasury and controls across North America. You will drive automation, strengthen processes and support US expansion, partnering with the Finance Director and cross-functional teams.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong technical accounting skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in financial accounting and controllership.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian financial reporting and tax.
• Experience with treasury operations and cash management.
• Experience coordinating cross-border finance and US expansion.
• Proficiency with financial automation tools and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end and year-end close processes with timely reporting.
• Lead toward a continuous close with automated reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements, GL accounts, and schedules.
• Oversee tax compliance for HST, payroll and corporate tax.
• Manage accounts payable, treasury and intercompany transactions.
• Improve internal controls and automation for scalability.
