Job summary

Bidgood's Wholesale Limited in Goulds, NL is seeking a Financial Controller to lead the finance team and oversee payroll, AP, and financial reporting. This senior role focuses on accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, and compliance with accounting standards.

You will also supervise IT and POS systems, manage cash flow forecasting, banking relations, and covenant reporting, and coordinate tax planning with external advisors to ensure CRA compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Business with a major in accounting.
• Ideally, a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including at least 2+ years in a senior finance role.
• Strong financial acumen, great interpersonal and team leadership skills.

The Financial Controller is a senior leadership position responsible for the overall financial stewardship and financial reporting of Bidgood's Wholesale Limited, a local family-owned supermarket based in Goulds, NL.

Key Responsibilities

• You will oversee, lead and develop the finance team, including AP. You will also be directly responsible for the payroll function.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting ensuring accurate close processes and compliance with accounting standards.
