Summary:
This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of manufacturing finance, who can lead in areas such as cash management, cost control, and financial governance. Collaboration between cross-functional teams to support the company's financial objectives and provide valuable insights to management. The Controller will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data, drive process improvements, and lead a high-performing team.
Work Schedule:Monday-Friday (8 hours) with Fixed hours from 08:00 am – 04:30 pm.

This role reports to VP of Finance.
The role currently has no direct reports.
Position Responsibilities:
Including, but not limited to the following:
Key Responsibilities:
·Financial Management:
o Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
o Lead the month-end process, ensuring accurate journal entries and the preparation of working papers.
o Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, providing detailed analysis and insights to support decision-making.
·Inventory Management:
o Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize holding costs.
o Oversee the valuation of inventory and implement controls to maintain accuracy in inventory reporting.
o Conduct regular cost analysis to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
·Cash Management and Treasury:
o Oversee cash flow management, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs.
o Develop and implement cash forecasting models to support financial planning.
o Work with the finance team to optimize cash management processes.
·Cost Control and Optimization:
o Lead cost analysis initiatives to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
o Develop and monitor standard costs and perform variance analysis to ensure cost targets are met.
o Implement cost control systems to optimize production and reduce waste.
·Financial Governance and Internal Controls:
o Maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
o Lead the preparation for external audits and manage the audit process.
o Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations, including the timely filing of returns.
·Process Improvement:
o Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
o Evaluate and implement financial systems and automation tools to streamline operations.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in financial management.
·Data Accuracy & Timeliness:
o Ensure the accuracy of financial data across all systems and processes.
o Implement checks and balances to maintain data integrity and consistency.
o Provide timely financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
·Financial Systems and Automation:
o Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of financial software and tools.
o Automate routine financial tasks to improve accuracy and reduce manual workload.
o Ensure systems are up-to-date and aligned with the company’s financial objectives.

o Manage and mentor the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.

o Develop clear and concise financial reports and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.

o Act as a key liaison between finance and other departments, facilitating collaboration and alignment.
Position Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· CPA designation or progress towards CPA preferred.
· Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in Manufacturing.
· Proficiency in ERP/ MRP/ Financial Management software (e.g., SAGE 300, Apollo, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to handle sensitive financial information with integrity and discretion.
· Strong knowledge of ASPE and financial reporting standards.
· Experience in a manufacturing environment, with an understanding of cost accounting and inventory management.
· Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Strong leadership and team management abilities
· Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
