Intact Financial Corporation is seeking Financial Analyst Interns for Summer 2027 in Montreal, QC. You will support reconciliations, month-end reporting, and financial analysis using standard models.

The role emphasizes collaboration with business units, data analysis, and process improvements. You will develop professional skills through mentorship, leadership presentations, and real project deliverables, while working in a diverse, inclusive environment.

• Analyze existing data and reports to identify variances, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in financial planning, forecasting, and performance comparisons.
• Assist with extraction, transformation, and visualization of financial data.
• Help document and implement new processes as needed.
• Develop actions to improve operational efficiency through enhanced reporting and automation.
• Ensure financial activities comply with laws, regulations, and policies.

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

We are looking for Financial Analyst Interns to join our growing team for Summer 2027!

What you’ll do here:

• Assist with the reconciliation of monthly entries and/or project costs.
• Participate in month-end and/or year-end reporting, particularly by preparing financial statements.

• Collaborate with relevant business units to obtain the information necessary to clarify financial results.
• Analyze existing data and reports to identify variances from the plan, trends, and opportunities for improving financial performance.
• Participate in financial planning, forecasting, and performance comparisons.
• Assist with the extraction, transformation, and visualization of financial data to analyze and determine the causes of financial performance.
• Help document and implement new processes as needed.
• Develop or suggest actions to improve operational efficiency and consistency through enhanced reporting, process improvements, and automation.
• Ensure that financial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
