Job summary

Intact Financial Corporation in Montreal is seeking Accounting Interns for Summer 2027. Join a dynamic Corporate Finance team and gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, month-end close support, and process improvements.

You will work 35 hours per week May–August 2027, requiring active student status and bilingual French/English. The program offers mentorship, leadership presentations, and opportunities to contribute to meaningful deliverables within the Finance function.

• Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of various financial reports.
• Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Participate in the review of transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Aid in the implementation and documentation of accounting processes and controls.
• Collaborate with team on continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and systems.
• Maintain and update accounting records and databases, ensuring data integrity.
• Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as necessary.

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles.
