Intact Financial Corporation is offering Financial Analyst Intern positions for Summer 2027 in Montreal. The program provides mentorship, exposure to leadership, and meaningful deliverables within the Finance team.

You will work on real projects, contribute to financial statements, and learn through hands-on experience in a dynamic setting. We seek motivated, bilingual students pursuing accounting or finance degrees, ready to engage in forecasting, data analysis, and process improvements.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with the reconciliation of monthly entries and/or project costs.
• Participate in month-end and/or year-end reporting, particularly by preparing financial statements.
• Use standard financial models to track results, ensure accuracy, and adjust as needed to minimize variances from actual results.
• Collaborate with relevant business units to obtain the information necessary to clarify financial results.
• Analyze existing data and reports to identify variances from the plan, trends, and opportunities for improving financial performance.
• Participate in financial planning, forecasting, and performance comparisons.
• Assist with the extraction, transformation, and visualization of financial data to analyze and determine the causes of financial performance.
• Help document and implement new processes as needed.
• Develop or suggest actions to improve operational efficiency and consistency through enhanced reporting, process improvements, and automation.
• Ensure that financial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

What you’ll do here:

What you bring to the table:

• Currently pursing a bachelor’s in accounting or finance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills with a passion for accounting
• Self-reliant with a strong sense of responsibility
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to a fast‑paced accounting function
• Bonus: Internship in Accounting or Finance is an asset
• Bilingualism (French and English) Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country
• You are available 35 hours a week from May to August 2027
• Must be an active student during your internship and/or returning to school in the next semester following your internship
