Job summary

J.L. Richards & Associates Limited in Ottawa is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its Finance group. You will prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports, perform reconciliations, and work with Accounts Payable to support payments.

The role requires 3–5 years of financial analysis experience in an accounting department and CPA designation or current CPA student status. You will help strengthen internal controls and provide practical insights for decision-making.

• Experience spotting misstatements and strengthening internal controls.
• Ability to partner across the finance team and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting.
• Complete month-end reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Maintain and support internal controls to ensure accurate financial information.
• Review and post vouchers in collaboration with Accounts Payable for bi-monthly payments.
• Combine financial analysis with business understanding to support decision-making.
• Contribute to forecasting, variance analysis, and process improvements.

• Preparing accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting.
