Job summary

Otter Co-op is hiring a Part-Time Liquor Store Associate at our Angry Otter Liquor @ City Gate located in Chilliwack, BC. You will support daily store operations, assist customers, handle merchandise, and help maintain a welcoming shopping environment.

Day-to-day tasks include handling deliveries, stocking shelves, preparing customer orders, and providing friendly service. The position offers a daytime Monday to Friday schedule and opportunities for advancement within a growing cooperative.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or retail is preferred.
• Ability to lift loads up to 50 pounds and safety awareness.
• Comfortable working with computers and basic merchandising tasks.

Responsibilities

• Offload trucks and verify merchandise quantities and quality.
• Stock and locate merchandise per centre procedures.
• Prepare customer orders accurately and on time.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Assist with counter service and merchandising.

Here’s a typical day:

• Offload trucks, check the quantity and quality of merchandise received. Report any missing or damaged items immediately.
• Place and locate merchandise in stock, in compliance with Business Centre practices.
• Prepare customer orders accurately and on time.
• Keep the workspace clean, organized, and safe at all times. Suggest improvements to make the warehouse more functional and efficient.
• Help with counter service, merchandising.
