Job summary

Otter Co-op is seeking a Part-Time Liquor Store Associate for Angry Otter Liquor @ Scott Town in Surrey, BC. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining shelves and stock.

Training and growth opportunities exist within a community-minded retail co-op. You must be over 19, have a Serving It Right license, and be available for a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, and late evenings.

Qualifications

• Liquor retail experience preferred.
• Serving it Right license required.
• Must be over 19 years of age.
• Open availability including mornings, afternoons and late evenings.
• WSET 1 accreditation to be obtained within first year of employment.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for full shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner.
• Process register transactions, refunds and returns, activate gift cards.
• Ensure register drawer is balanced at the end of shift following company procedures.
• Stock, face, and rotate products on the shelves.
• Receive, check, and put away deliveries.
• Keep store and storage areas clean and organized.

What you’ll do:

• Provide excellent customer service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner
• Process register transactions, refunds, and returns, activate gift cards
• Ensure register drawer is balanced at the end of shift following company procedures
• Stock, face, and rotate products on the shelves
• Receive, check, and put away deliveries
• Keep store and storage areas clean and organized
• Utilize product knowledge to promote sales
• Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence
• Perform other duties as assigned

Who you are:

• Ability to physically lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for full8 hourshift
• Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
• Must have reliable transportation has bus is not always reliable for all shifts
• MUST be over 19 years of age to be considered
• MUST have open availability and able to work a variety of shifts that include mornings, afternoons, and late evenings (closing shifts endingat 10pm)
• This position is based out of the Scott Town Liquor Store, though it may require on some occasions to travel and work at other locations as business needs arise
