Job summary

CBI Health, Canada's leading community healthcare provider, is hiring a Financial Accountant in Toronto, ON. The role focuses on timely monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and analysis for financial statement line items.

Reporting to the Manager of Financial Reporting, you will complete journal entries, working papers, and respond to audit requests while maintaining compliance controls. Salary range: $70,000–$75,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required or equivalent.
• Exposure to full cycle accounting including month-end close and journal entries.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Experience in multi-entity accounting is an asset.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in the monthly close process, posting journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Prepare journals to record business activities accurately.
• Maintain prepayment schedules and ensure proper expense posting.
• Analyze general ledger transactions and investigate anomalies.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany items.
• Support materials for senior management and external reporting.
