Job description

Maya HTT is also a Value Added Reseller (VAR) for the Siemens PLM Software products, with a focus on CAE-based simulation and providing engineering services, including software training, migration, implementation, and custom development, along with consulting.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Finance Team Lead to join our finance team and play a critical role in managing the month-end process, financial consolidation and forecasting across multiple entities and currencies. Reporting directly to the VP Finance, you will ensure accurate financial reporting and support the accounting team in a dynamic, growth-focused environment. You will also contribute to the implementation of our ERP system and the transition to a new consolidation process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly close process, ensuring accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements.
  • Provide oversight and support to the accounting team, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and day-to-day accounting tasks.
  • Develop, document and maintain internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure timely sales tax filing for all countries (GST/ QST/ HST; VAT; US sales taxes).
  • Perform financial consolidation, ensuring accurate elimination of intercompany transactions and reconciliation of consolidated financial statements. Excel based, transitioning to NetSuite ERP.
  • Prepare and maintain the monthly Forecast model by incorporating actuals, projections for revenues, cost of sales, commissions and operating expenses.
  • Own the transfer pricing model, including all related intercompany journal entries and eliminations.
  • Support the NetSuite ERP implementation and data migration processes.
  • Support external audits for all subsidiaries by preparing and providing required documentation and reports.
  • Assisting with submission of claims for various programs and government grants.
  • Train new team members and act as a backup for accountants when necessary.
Your Profile:
  • CPA designation or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.
  • Experience with multi-currency accounting.
  • Experience with Sage 50, QuickBooks Online and NetSuite ERP (an asset).
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Desire and ability to thrive in a demanding environment: result-oriented, independent, flexible and resourceful.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and eager to drive process improvements.
  • Bilingual in French and English, with strong communication skills to present financial information clearly.(The position requires regular interaction with colleagues, suppliers and customers based outside of Quebec, nationally and internationally).
