Job summary

The Finance Supervisor at Tikinagan Child & Family Services will lead a team of Finance/Payroll Clerks in daily operations, providing guidance, training and backfill as needed, in a high energy office environment.

You will work with various stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payroll and accounting tasks, maintaining controls, and driving process improvements while meeting targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in Finance/Payroll and/or post-secondary education in Business/Accounting.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Advanced knowledge in Excel.
• Worked on computerized accounting system.
• Very good organizational and administrative skills.
• Comfortable working with all levels of people in the organization/outside contacts.
• Must be responsible and have the ability to encourage people and improve system and manual work flow processes.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet targets and deadlines.
• Ability to respond effectively to changing priorities.
• Good analytical and problem solving abilities.

Job description

Reporting directly to the Assistant Finance Manager, the Finance Supervisor is responsible to supervise, guide/train and assist a team of Finance/Payroll Clerks in the daily operations of the Finance/Payroll Unit. You will be familiar working in a finance environment. You will provide backup to the other Finance Supervisor. You should be able to work in a high energy office environment.
