Job Title: Finance Process Improvement Specialist

Job Description

As a Finance Process Improvement Specialist, you will collaborate closely with Accounting Subject Matter Experts and the Shared Services Project Manager to gain a deep understanding of current accounting workflows. Your role involves interpreting and translating these workflows into clear visual representations such as process maps or flowcharts. You will facilitate the visualization and documentation of existing processes to enhance clarity and communication, leveraging your solid foundation in general accounting, including account reconciliation, payment processing, audits, and period-end close activities. Your insights will be key in developing comprehensive documentation that clearly outlines each step of the process for onboarding or training purposes, creating user-friendly checklists for new team members, and providing recommendations for process improvements within the shared services accounting function.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Accounting SMEs and the Shared Services Project Manager.
  • Interpret and translate accounting workflows into process maps or flowcharts.

  • Leverage general accounting skills to comprehend and analyze processes.
  • Develop documentation for onboarding or training purposes.
  • Create user-friendly checklists for established procedures.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Essential Skills
  • Standard Operating Procedure creation for accounting processes.
  • Process improvement techniques.
  • General accounting knowledge including reconciliation, audits, intercompany transactions, payments, month-end and period-end close activities.
  • Proficiency in Oracle, SAP, or D365.
  • Experience with Visio and Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Exposure to new exciting areas through close collaboration with the project team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
