King Marketing seeks a Finance Manager to lead financial operations and drive growth in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Based in-office, the role reports to the VP of Sales & Marketing and emphasizes technology and process improvement.

The ideal candidate has a finance/ accounting background with budgeting, analysis, and staff management experience, plus proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration (Master’s or CPA/CFA preferred).
• Proven experience in budgeting, analysis, and staff management.
• Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Strategic partner to senior management to develop financial strategies and drive process improvements.
• Prepare, coordinate, and review financial statements, reports and forecasts for decision-making.
• Develop and manage the organization’s budget, models, and strategic plans.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and manage tax filings, payroll, and relationships with auditors.
• Monitor cash flow, reduce costs, and ensure funds for operations.
• Supervise accounting staff and ensure accurate record-keeping.

FINANCE MANAGER –
KITCHENER-WATERLOO AREA

We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead the company’s financial operations and play a key role in supporting
business growth and strategic decision-making. Based in the Kitchener-Waterloo area, this is a full-time, in-office role
reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing. The ideal candidate is awesome at finance, loves business, and is excited by
technology and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Partner: work senior management to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business
  goals. Drive process improvements and champion new technologies to modernize financial operations.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare, coordinate, and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts for
  senior management. Deliver clear, actionable financial reports and analysis to support decision-making
• Budgeting & Planning: Develop and manage the organization’s budget, financial models, and strategic plans to
  guide growth. Lead budgeting and forecasting, collaborating with department heads
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
• Coordinate corporate tax filings, regulatory compliance, and payroll administration. Act as the primary contact
  for external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
• Cash Flow Optimization: Monitor and analyze financial data to reduce costs, manage cash flow, and ensure
  sufficient funds for operations.
• Team Leadership: Supervise accounting staff and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration (Master’s or CPA/CFA
  preferred).
• Experience: Proven experience in financial roles, including budgeting, analysis, and staff management.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, leadership ability, and clear communication skills.
• Home improvement industry, retail, outside sales, or merchandising experience is preferred
