Job description

Rubicon Organics’ mission is to grow the best cannabis on Earth and for the Earth. Today, we are doing just that out of our state-of-the-art greenhouse facility located in Delta, B.C.

We are growing and expanding quickly while on our journey to becoming the global brand leader in organic cannabis. Innovation is at the heart of our growth strategy as we introduce a range of new and exciting products to market.

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team and lead the forecasting and commercial analysis of the business. This role offers an opportunity to apply your expertise in a fast-paced, high-growth company.

Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, this position serves as the FP&A lead, focusing on partnering with the Sales and Marketing teams. The role also oversees the broader FP&A cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting, by coordinating inputs from the Operations FP&A team.

This dynamic and hands-on role requires demonstrating critical thinking, flexibility, resourcefulness, and the ability to succeed in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support the execution of the full FP&A cycle by coordinating key inputs from Sales & Marketing, ensuring alignment across budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities.
  2. Liaise with Operations FP&A and other stakeholders to gather and validate financial inputs, helping to build a cohesive and accurate P&L view under the direction of the Finance Director.
  3. Develop and synthesize reporting and analysis related to commercial performance, contributing insights that support senior leadership decision-making within the company’s broader FP&A framework.
  4. Design, manage, and improve data structures, reporting tools, and financial analysis processes for scalability, accuracy, and real-time insights.
  5. Drive financial insights to fuel product innovation and strategic partnerships.
  6. Create and leverage FP&A tools to foster collaboration with commercial teams, driving alignment and decision-making.
  7. Strengthen financial discipline by maintaining internal controls and standardizing FP&A processes.
  8. Perform other duties and projects as required by the business.
  9. Lead and mentor a direct report, fostering professional growth and a collaborative team culture.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of finance experience, preferably in the cannabis industry or multinational CPG companies.
  • Strong computer literacy with advanced Excel skills (Power Query, Power Pivots, advanced formulas) and database management (e.g., SQL).
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Act with urgency and accountability.
  • Self-initiative to identify issues and operate independently.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and motivation for process improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in the cannabis industry is a strong asset.
Why Join Us?

At Rubicon Organics, you’ll be part of a passionate team committed to doing things the right way—for our people, our planet, and our legacy. This is a great opportunity to apply your expertise in a high-impact role where your work is valued and visible across the organization. You’ll also have the chance to grow with a leading Canadian cannabis company.
