Stevenson & White is assisting a well-funded Ottawa non-profit in recruiting a Finance Manager who will support day-to-day financial management, ensure funding compliance, and provide timely financial information to the Director and IT Manager.

Reporting to the Director, Finance & Operations, you will prepare budgets and forecasts, analyze performance, coordinate audits, manage payroll and banking, and partner with project teams to improve processes in a stable, mentoring environment.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting, finance, business, commerce or a related field.
• CPA completed or in progress is considered an asset.
• Minimum 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Strong business partnering skills with the ability to make recommendations.
• Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and projections, monitor financial performance, and support funding proposals and business cases.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management, funders, committees, and the Board.
• Maintain cash flow forecasts, support project budget monitoring, prepare funder claims, and monitor funding agreements.
• Coordinate the annual audit, prepare government filings and remittances, monitor policy and legislative compliance.
• Oversee payroll, benefits, banking, and reconciliations, review supporting documentation.
• Provide financial analysis to management and project teams, build collaborative relationships, and support special projects
