Job summary

CAE Inc. is seeking a Lead Finance Partner for Global Technology & Products (GTP) and Allocation Functions. You will guide financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting while supporting executives and operational leaders.

You will supervise two analysts and drive continuous improvement and cost discipline. Based in Canada, the role requires bilingual English/French communication, a strong analytics background, and experience with Oracle/PowerBI.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years in financial analysis, preferably in manufacturing/operations.
  • Excellent Excel skills and power usership with BI tools.
  • Bilingual (French-English) is required.
  • CPA or CFA designation or in progress is preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle and/or PowerBI is preferred.
  • Experience as a people manager is a plus.
  • Strong communication and relationship skills across levels.

  • Provide financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Review assumptions, ensure forecast accuracy, and drive cost discipline.

  • Mentor two financial analysts and support senior finance leadership.

Responsible for financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, cost management, and the successful execution of enterprise-wide initiatives while acting as a trusted advisor to Finance leadership and operational stakeholders.Financial Leadership & Team managementLead and support two financial analysts responsible for GTP and allocation functions.Provide financial oversight of monthly actuals, forecasts, budgets, risks & opportunities, and financial reporting.Review and challenge assumptions to ensure forecast accuracy and financial discipline.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and business partnership.Serve as the right hand to the Manager, Finance Operations, supporting strategic priorities and organizational objectives.Ensure the delivery of timely, accurate, and insightful financial analyses to support decision-making.GTP Finance LeadershipServe as the primary finance lead for GTP, including Engineering, Digital Engineering, Information Technology (IT), and Cybersecurity.Partner with Directors, VPs, and functional leaders to support strategic decision-making, workforce planning, and cost optimization initiatives.Lead financial reviews and provide actionable insights to driven efficiency and business results.Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and recommendations to Finance and operational leadership.Allocation Functions OwnershipLead the financial management and governance of enterprise allocation functions.Oversee allocation methodologies, governance processes, and cost recovery models.Ensure cost transparency, accountability, and alignment between support functions and business stakeholders.Drive continuous improvement in overhead allocation practices and cost containment initiatives.Cloud Cost Governance & strategic cost managementLead and coordinate the finance treatment and governance of growing cloud expenditures.Partner with Technology and Finance leaders to monitor spending trends, assess financial impacts, and support long-term investment decisions.Develop financial analyses and recommendations related to cloud consumption, cost optimization, and funding strategies.Strategic initiatives & Executive supportLead and support high-visibility global Finance and Technology initiatives, including confidential mandates and executive-level requests.Serve as a key finance partner on strategic projects sponsored by Technology leadership, Finance leadership, and Executive Vice Presidents.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing / operational environment.Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel.Bilingual (French-English).Preferred QualificationsCPA or CFA designation or in progress.Experience with Oracle and/or Powerbi.Experience as a people manager.Strong communication, relationship-building & interpersonal skills to work daily at all hierarchical levels.Ability to work Independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify issues, develop recommendations, and lead solutions to implementation.Customer oriented.BenefitsGroup InsuranceTelemedicine Employee and Family Assistance ProgramEmployee Stock Purchase PlanGroup RRSPCAE Pension Plan/Defined Benefit PlanSabbatical LeaveFlex TimeEnhanced Parental Leave#LI-IT1About CAEAt CAE, our mission is clear: to help make the world a safer place.
