CAE Inc is seeking a Financial Analyst in Montreal to manage a portfolio of projects with a focus on financial analysis, forecasting, revenue recognition, and performance reporting.
The role requires IFRS expertise, strong accounting knowledge, and experience in contract-based accounting, with fluency in English and French. The incumbent will support month-end closes, budgeting, and process improvements within CAE’s finance team.

In this role, the Financial Analyst will have direct responsibility over a portfolio of projects, with a primary focus on financial analysis, reporting and project accounting activities. The incumbent will support project financial management, including forecasting, revenue recognition, and performance analysis.
Work in collaboration with Program Management to support project financial management, including assessing Estimate at Completion (EAC) requirements and developing project financial forecasts. Support the application of IFRS, with a particular focus on IFRS 15, in the context of customer contracts. Prepare and review financial information for the assigned project portfolio on a periodic basis (monthly, quarterly and annual). Prepare analysis of project performance and perform variance analysis on a periodic basis, including but not limited to month‑end, forecasts, and budgets. Perform scenario assessments, including the evaluation of EAC changes and related financial impacts, to support project financial planning and performance monitoring. Assist in initiatives including, but not limited to, reporting enhancement, data integrity, and process improvements within the accounting environment. Support internal and external audit activities. Support month‑end close and forecasting activities related to the assigned project portfolio. Participate in business process troubleshooting and enhancement initiatives (e.g. Planisware, Oracle, PowerBI) where appropriate.
