Job summary

Huron Canada is seeking a Finance Lead to apply deep finance acumen to Dynamics 365 Finance and SCM implementations for manufacturing and automotive clients. The role is on-site in the Toronto area, with travel as needed, and involves shaping business process design while collaborating with architecture and technical teams.

You will drive AI-enabled forecasting and automation discussions, lead design workshops, and guide finance workstreams to ensure successful delivery and client value

Qualifications

• Canadian citizenship (required for this client engagement). Willingness and ability to work on-site at the client location in the Toronto, Ontario area, with travel as the engagement requires.
• Deep business acumen in corporate finance and accounting operations: financial close, cost accounting, treasury, and financial reporting, gained through industry or consulting experience.
• A track record of leading finance business process design and requirements definition on ERP implementations, in a role accountable for the business outcome rather than the technical build.
• Demonstrated experience working in or with a manufacturing environment, including understanding of how supply chain and production activity flows into financial results.
• Strong facilitation skills, with experience leading design workshops with finance executives and subject matter experts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build durable client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Business process leadership: Lead client business process reviews across financial close, cost accounting, treasury, and financial reporting, assessing current-state maturity and shaping future-state design.
• Requirements ownership: Own functional requirements definition for the finance workstream, translating business needs into a solution design for the architecture and technical teams.
• Design facilitation: Facilitate and document design sessions with client finance process owners and SMEs to confirm requirements are met.
• Cross-functional alignment: Understand cross-functional effects of supply chain and manufacturing transactions on financial performance and reporting.
• AI-enabled delivery acceleration: Direct the use of AI-enabled tools in discovery, requirements capture, test scripting, and user enablement to compress timelines.
• AI-informed design: Identify where AI-driven forecasting or intelligent finance automation can strengthen the future-state finance design.
• Client relationship and stakeholder management: Build and sustain trusted on-site relationships with client finance executives, controllers, and process owners.
• Delivery leadership: Lead and guide internal and client team members through finance configuration validation, testing, training, and deployment.
• Mentorship: Mentor consultants on finance business process design and client-facing delivery discipline.
