Job summary

Stevenson & White is seeking a Finance Business Partner for a full-time contract through March 2028. You will partner with program leaders to drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in a not-for-profit setting, providing strategic insights to support organizational priorities.

This role requires CPA designation (complete or in progress), 3–5 years of progressive financial experience, and strong skills in ERP systems and advanced Excel (Pivot tables, Power Pivot).

Qualifications

  • CPA designation required or in process.
  • Degree in Business, Commerce, or Accounting.
  • 3–5 years of progressive financial analysis and reporting experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with program leaders for budgeting, forecasting, and financial decision-making.
  • Explain financial information clearly and act as finance contact for guidance.
  • Support managers through budget, quarterly, and year-end cycles with risk/opportunity analysis.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, projections, reconciliations, and adjustments.
  • Provide financial analysis for business cases, funding requests, and long-term planning.
  • Assist with organization-wide financial reporting and variance analysis.
  • Help track program and project costs and improve processes and systems.

Job description

Our client, a well-established and highly respected independent not-for-profit organization, is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their team on a full-time contract through March 2028. In this role, you will act as a trusted strategic advisor, partnering with operational leaders and cross-functional teams to drive effective financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting. You will play a key role in quarterly forecasting, mid-year and year-end financial reviews, and the annual budgeting process, providing insightful analysis that supports sound decision-making and organizational priorities. The ideal candidate is a strategic and collaborative finance professional who can turn complex financial information into clear, actionable insights and build strong partnerships across the organization. The main responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with program leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial decision-making
  • Explaining financial information clearly and acting as a trusted finance contact for questions and guidance
