Job summary

The Government of Alberta is seeking a Business Analyst – Finance to join the 1GX Center of Excellence within the Ministry of Technology and Innovation. Based in Edmonton, you will develop requirements, analyze financial processes, and support ERP upgrades to strengthen financial and HR information management across GoA systems.

Qualifications

• University graduation in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in finance.
• Experience with accounting and/or budgeting.
• Experience in large organizations or the public sector preferred.
• Assets: professional designations and SAP/Concur experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate analysis, configuration, design, testing, QA, and implementation of 1GX modules and releases.
• Ensure 1GX changes align with Government plans, policies, and standards.
• Provide issue resolution support for 1GX operations and production environment.
• Develop and implement process improvements in line with goals and objectives.
• Engage stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure alignment.
• Provide project management support from inception to completion and design of business processes.
