The Traffic Safet Services (TSS) division is looking for a Finance and Program Analyst. Reporting to the Manager, Evaluation and Finance, the Finance and Program Analyst provides the integrated financial and analytical oversight required to support provincial programs and divisional initiatives. This position monitors the fiscal health of programs, profiling and evaluating initiatives to ensure efficient and transparent delivery. While operating independently, the Analyst collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders, to lead budgeting and performance monitoring efforts, particularly on complex files.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Establishment and Maintenance of Financial and Administrative Processes
    Financial and administrative processes are developed, implemented, and maintained to support effective program delivery and sound fiscal management across the division.
  • Accurate Revenue Tracking and Allocation
    Revenue management processes are administered to ensure revenues are accurately recorded, monitored, reconciled, and allocated in support of program and divisional objectives.
  • Integrated Financial, Program, and Evaluation Analysis
    Financial, operational, and program analysis is provided to support strategic planning, program implementation, performance measurement, and decision-making.
  • Program Administration and Operational Coordination
    Financial administration processes and program activities are coordinated to support consistent service delivery and effective implementation of divisional initiatives.
  • Data-Driven Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
    Performance measurement and reporting processes are maintained to support accountability, informed decision-making, and continuous improvement.
  • Administration of Program Funding, Grants, and Financial Reporting
    Program funding and financial reporting mechanisms are administered to ensure resources are managed effectively and aligned with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • University graduation in a related field such as Business, Economics, Commerce, or a related discipline, plus two (2) years of related experience; or equivalent as described below.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in project management, including planning, coordination, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Experience supporting program processes, policy implementation, evaluation activities, and financial management, including analysis, monitoring, and reporting.
  • A related master’s degree or
  • A related two-year diploma and a minimum of four (4) years of related experience; or
  • A related one-year certificate and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience; or
  • A minimum of six (6) years of related experience in lieu of formal education.

Assets:

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience developing or using Power BI dashboards.
  • Experience with program evaluation, performance measurement, or outcome reporting.

Term of Employment: Permanent, Full-time position

Hours of Work: 7.25 hours daily / 36.25 weekly – Monday to Friday

Location: Twin Atria Building - Edmonton
