You will play an integral role in producing multiple financial reports in accordance with government policies, processes, guidelines and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Some activities include the preparation of the ministry’s quarterly financial information, various public disclosures, year-end financial reporting and addressing the ministry's financial audit requirements. You will use your passion, knowledge and experience to assist in providing financial reporting services, such as financial information preparation for the Annual Report, quarterly actual results and ad hoc management reporting.
You will play an integral role in the comprehensive management of the ministry’s financial operations. This includes developing and implementing ministry-wide financial policies and procedures, internal controls, and reviewing the day-to-day financial operations. You will maintain the integrity of financial data within the following functions: Grants and Contracts, Travel & Expense Claims, P-Card, Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R) and General Ledger.
