Randstad Canada is seeking a Red Seal Oil Burner Mechanic for a permanent FIFO position in Rankin Inlet/Arviat, NU. The job features a 6 weeks in / 2 weeks out rotating schedule and a compensation range of $40–$50 per hour with overtime after 40 hours.

Responsibilities include overseeing heating systems, troubleshooting burners, installing oil-fired equipment, and performing preventative maintenance. Travel to Nunavut communities is required and accommodations are provided.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of technical/trade experience in commercial environments.
• Red Seal certification is required.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Aufgaben

• Oversee heating, plumbing, and renovation work in line with work orders and plans.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning oil burners.
• Assemble oil burner heating system components.
• Perform installation of oil-fired systems.
• Test installed units and adjust controls for proper functioning.
• Perform preventative maintenance on motors, pumps, and boilers.
• Complete work orders and assist in inventory.
• Supervise/train apprentices as needed.
• Travel to other Nunavut communities when required.
• Be on call-out to handle emergencies.
