Ericsson Canada Inc. is seeking a Field Technician for on-site support across Operations and Engineering resources in Canada.

The role emphasizes corrective analysis, preventive maintenance, and coordination with multiple teams to ensure high service availability and SLA adherence. The position requires telecommunications experience, knowledge of GSM/WCDMA/LTE, and safety certifications, with on-call shifts and potential 24-hour support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Diploma or Certificate degree in Electronics or any other related field.
• Two plus years of experience in the telecommunications industry
• Certification related to EHS/OHS (Environmental, Health & Safety / Occupational Health & Safety)
• Knowledge of service networks, including GSM, WCDMA, and LTE
• Awareness and adherence to Ericsson Life Saving Rules
• Hazard identification and risk assessment
• Accident investigation or root cause analysis (RCA)
• Lone work requirements
• First Aid

Responsibilities

• Respond to corrective network problems by performing effective analysis, rapid troubleshooting, diagnosis, and prompt repair to meet restoral objectives.
• Coordinate with other technicians and departments to maintain service levels.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance routines.
• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.
• Maintain up-to-date site documentation and complete trouble tickets and incident reports.
• Test hand-offs, RSSI, and transmit levels on mobiles; monitor dropped calls and performance changes.
• Document activities for future assessment and analysis.
• Shift work, overtime, and 24-hour on-call support on a regular rotation.
